About this project
Edifier approached me to shoot their STAX SPIRIT S3, the first headphone under the STAX SPIRIT product line. The brief was straightforward: capture the build quality and premium feel of a pair of planar magnetic headphones in a way that felt elevated but approachable.
The Approach
I wanted the images to feel like you could reach out and touch the carbon fiber. The entire shoot leaned into low-key lighting with warm tones, letting the materials do the talking. Each frame was composed to draw the eye to a specific detail: the texture of the ear cups, the weight of the headband, the way the signature S logo catches light at different angles.
The desk environment was intentional. Rather than isolating the product on white, I placed the S3 in a real workspace alongside peripherals and ambient RGB to give viewers a sense of scale and context. The goal was aspirational without being sterile.
Deliverables
10 final images covering product hero shots, detail close-ups, lifestyle-in-use, and unboxing/packaging. All files delivered in high resolution, color-graded for consistency across Edifier's digital channels.
